Salone Del Mobile. Milano is the annual international furniture fair and is the most sought-after meeting ground for product designers, interior designers, and the design industry. This year?s fair features EuroCucina?a biennial exhibition dedicated to kitchens and bathrooms. This year?s tradeshow takes it to the next level by incorporating interactive architecture to create human-centric pathways, leading to an enhanced layout for the trade show. Fuorisalone

While Salone Del Mobile is a trade fair where brands present their newest collections, it is often in exhibitions like Fuorisalone that artists, designers, and architects come together to create something grand. It is where utopian thoughts and ideas converge with reality. This year’s theme, Materia Natura, echoes this principle as it calls out for mindful practices and engages sustainability as its core principle. The installation Earthic Lab by design studio Formafantasma is perhaps a great example of the theme and challenges designers to look beyond the aesthetics into ethical building practice by turning the debris from the company?s production processes into luxurious and sustainable surfaces.
