In the bustling landscape of Bengaluru’s urban fabric, TOVO stands out not just as a restaurant, but as a sculptural statement that reimagines what a dining experience can be. Conceptualized and brought to life by Staap, a multidisciplinary architecture and design studio celebrated for its material sensitivity and contemporary spatial storytelling, TOVO exemplifies how design can become an atmosphere, not just a backdrop.
The space was envisioned to reflect TOVO’s core philosophy—a seamless intersection of simplicity, clarity, and elegance. And that’s exactly what Staap delivered: a narrative-driven interior that doesn’t shout for attention but compels you to stay, look closer, and feel.

At first glance, visitors are greeted by a striking external canopy—a minimalist installation of suspended metal rods with a reflective underside. This urban sculpture captures passing movement and light, creating a dynamic interface between the restaurant and the street. It’s Staap’s way of using architectural gestures to invite people in without needing a single word.
Inside, the design unfolds like a well-composed symphony. A restrained, monochromatic palette dominates the space, with crisp whites and deep blacks playing off each other to define zones and moods. Brushed stainless steel, rich travertine, and tanned leather accents contribute to a raw yet refined tactile experience.

Communal seating arrangements are strategically placed to promote interaction, while the open kitchen layout turns the act of cooking into a live design feature. Overhead, a black gridded ceiling adds depth and intimacy, while stretch ceiling lights cast a soft, sky-like illumination throughout the space—making the interior feel both grounded and expansive.
What sets this Bengaluru restaurant interior apart is how every detail has purpose—from the textures that absorb and reflect light to the subtle spatial zoning that accommodates both social buzz and solitary moments.

Behind this thoughtfully executed project is Staap, a Bengaluru-based design studio known for its collaborative ethos and context-driven design language. Led by Mithun Adhitya and Karthik Keshev, the firm continues to push the boundaries of hospitality design in India, crafting environments that blend aesthetics with emotion and function.
TOVO isn’t just a place to dine—it’s a space that frames every interaction, dish, and pause in deliberate design. It reflects a new direction for restaurant interiors in India, where brand identity, architecture, and user experience are beautifully entwined.
