Perched in the lap of the Himalayas, Stay Up Hill redefines the hostel experience with a striking balance of raw nature and refined design. Conceived by the Indore-based Space Goals Design Studio, this hillside retreat is an architectural statement—grounded in context, crafted with intent, and infused with the energy of the modern traveler.

Design That Breathes with the Mountains
Set against a backdrop of snow-dusted peaks and terraced greenery, the retreat embraces its surroundings through a palette of local materials and bold design language. The use of stone cladding, exposed wood, and woven cane lighting grounds the architecture in place, while vibrant colors and layered patterns lend it a spirited, youthful character.
Every space—from the cozy bunk rooms to the open-air fire pit—has been thoughtfully curated to evoke connection. It’s a space that encourages introspection just as much as it invites community, built around the belief that design can shape human experience in subtle and powerful ways.

A Philosophy of Purposeful Design
What makes Stay Up Hill truly remarkable is its ability to merge comfort with cultural richness, a hallmark of Space Goals Design Studio’s architectural philosophy. Known for their work in hospitality, residential, and commercial architecture across India, the studio believes in designing “spaces with goals, spaces for goals.” With every project, they strive to create environmentally aware, user-centric spaces that elevate daily life while reflecting the personality of the place.

Founded in 2020 by Siddharth Gokhale and Gaurav Shankaran, and joined by Priyansh Seth in 2023, the studio has steadily built a reputation for crafting spaces that are both visually compelling and functionally responsive. Their growing portfolio includes private bungalows, farmhouses, resorts, office interiors, and residential projects that speak to their ability to adapt to scale, site, and story.
Where Function Meets Feeling
Stay Up Hill isn’t just about good design—it’s about design that feels good. Cast-in-situ furniture, open-to-sky bathing spaces, thoughtful lighting, and strategically placed windows transform the hostel into a living, breathing environment. It invites travelers to slow down, to look out, and to belong—even if only for a short while.
It’s a rare blend of architecture and emotion—where the landscape becomes part of the interior, and the interior, part of the landscape.

A Hostel That Redefines Hospitality
More than a destination, Stay Up Hill is an experience—a reminder that even the most modest stays can be transformative when crafted with care. Through this project, Space Goals Design Studio demonstrates how contemporary hospitality design in India can be rooted, resonant, and refreshingly relevant.
