In the heart of Mumbai, perched high above the bustling cityscape, lies a home that is anything but ordinary. The Grey Seascape, a 4,700 sq. ft. residence wrapped by 1,300 sq. ft. of deck space, is a stunning expression of muted luxury and thoughtful design—conceived and executed by the acclaimed interior design studio Innover by Sakshi Gehani.
This residence is a testament to the power of design when driven by emotional intelligence and spatial awareness. The homeowners had a clear vision—no glossy golds, minimal wood, high functionality, and complete voice automation. With these in mind, Innover shaped a cohesive, calming, and deeply luxurious home experience rooted in the concept of Understated Opulence.

Designing with Grey—The New Language of Warmth
Choosing grey as the core palette for an entire home is a bold decision—but in the hands of Sakshi Gehani, it becomes a tool for layered storytelling. The entire home rests on a serene grey marble canvas, elevated by tactile textures, archways, and carefully chosen accent tones like sage green and teal. Despite the neutral base, the home feels far from cold—each space has a soul, sparked by natural light and softened with custom furnishings and flowing curves.

Statement Spaces that Speak Softly
At the entry, the Reflecting Sand Wall—a custom feature layered with sand-textured surfaces and asymmetric mirrors—instantly sets the tone. It leads into a living room arranged for both serenity and storytelling, with rounded pearl-toned couches, a sculptural rug reminiscent of beach waves, and a Bubble Couch that invites daydreaming beside towering plants and city views.
The drawing room takes on a more social role, featuring a large C-shaped couch with integrated recliners and a fully bespoke circular bar at its heart. Rich textures, curved edges, and layered lighting define these spaces—separate yet harmoniously linked.

From Archways to Automation
Arches, a recurring motif, create soft transitions across the home—from the sage-trimmed arches leading into the dining space to the hallway lined with green-planted arch cutouts and memory frames. Each one is both sculptural and symbolic, offering rhythm and continuity throughout the design.

Technology meets aesthetic precision with full voice automation—lighting, appliances, climate control, and even security are integrated into a seamless home experience, setting a new benchmark for luxury homes in India.
Purpose-Built Deck & Personalized Private Zones
The standout feature is undoubtedly the massive deck wrapping around the home—a rarity in high-rise Mumbai. Innover transformed it into a lush, open retreat with microcement finishes in layered grey tones, scattered seating pockets, and a tropical vibe that flows effortlessly from the indoors out.
Inside, each bedroom reflects the individuality of its occupant. From walk-in wardrobes to fluted walls and warm minimalist aesthetics, every detail feels personal. Even the home theatre—hidden behind a mirror wall—is designed to function as a multipurpose guest room, complete with mood lighting and convertible seating.

Innover by Sakshi Gehani is a Mumbai-based interior design studio renowned for bespoke, personality-driven spaces that are high on comfort and technology. With over 11 years in practice, Sakshi’s approach centers on letting the client’s personality shine through every square foot—an ethos clearly reflected in The Grey Seascape.
This home isn’t just a design project—it’s a deeply humanized sanctuary, proving that minimalism, when done thoughtfully, can be both expressive and elegant.
