Tucked away in the heart of Noida, House of Ruya is a quiet yet compelling demonstration of how thoughtful design can elevate a compact home into a serene retreat. Designed by 739collaborative, a young architectural practice known for its sensitivity to context and material, this under-1000 sq. ft. apartment masterfully blends warmth, minimalism, and contemporary luxury.
The design begins with a linear spine that connects the living areas to the bedrooms, allowing light and energy to flow seamlessly through the apartment. Post-retrofitting with structural steel, the firm took on the challenge of low ceiling heights and transformed it into an opportunity to highlight textures, surfaces, and quiet details. With soft matte finishes, neutral color tones, and layered lighting, the home feels open, inviting, and airy, despite its compact footprint.

739collaborative’s approach is evident in every corner—from recessed aluminum skirtings and steel door jambs to carefully crafted wooden profiles that bring visual continuity and craftsmanship into the space. The interiors lean into a philosophy of “less, but better”—avoiding ornamentation and instead highlighting bespoke elements tailored for the small footprint.
One of the highlights is the master bedroom’s cabinetry system, designed not only for storage but for experiential delight. Behind a wardrobe lies a discreet walk-in closet, with a large window overlooking greenery and a mirrored wall that enhances both light and spatial perception. Each piece of furniture was custom-designed to suit the apartment’s intimate scale, bringing together utility and aesthetic finesse.

739collaborative, founded by Siddharth Arora, Rishi Shrivastava, and Kritesh Kumar, is known for crafting highly contextual, functional spaces with a refined material palette. Their collaborative design process and attention to architectural detailing shine through in House of Ruya, making it a standout example of modern residential interior design in India.
For homeowners seeking small apartment interior design ideas, House of Ruya offers more than inspiration—it presents a blueprint of how spatial clarity, authentic materials, and subtle design gestures can turn a modest home into an architectural statement.
