When serenity meets sculptural sophistication, you get Japandi Studio—a retail destination in Mumbai envisioned by Mirari Design Visuals, the boutique interior design firm led by designer Hoori Meghani. This 1800 sq. ft. space translates the soul of Japandi style—where Japanese warmth meets Scandinavian minimalism—into a layered retail experience that evokes both intimacy and indulgence.
A Studio That Feels Like Home, But Looks Like Art
From the moment you step inside, the design speaks in soft tones. The double-height entrance, framed with sleek ACP panel arches, creates an immediate sense of grandeur without overwhelming the senses. It invites you to pause and absorb—the calm curves, the subtle textures, and the rhythm of thoughtfully zoned spaces.

The store layout is built around spatial storytelling. The Neutrals Zone is a palette cleanser—lime-plastered walls, wooden flooring, and Japandi-style furniture evoke a refined, almost meditative ambiance. As you transition deeper into the store, more expressive elements emerge: gold accents, bold prints, and a luxe palette that balances restraint with richness.
A 19-Foot Statement of Craft
The visual highlight—and structural feat—is the sweeping 19-foot curved rattan screen. Crafted with precision and purpose, this feature wall adds a sculptural rhythm to the store’s flow. Its presence transforms the store into a gallery-like setting, softening transitions while anchoring the visual identity.

Mirroring the screen’s flow, a custom-crafted wooden staircase with matching railings leads visitors to a mezzanine zone. This upper level houses a workstation, lounge seating, and a dining area—all seamlessly tied together through material cohesion and spatial harmony.
Where Architecture and Atmosphere Align
Every design choice in Japandi Studio feels intentional. Handmade chandeliers float from the ceiling, casting delicate shadows and adding to the store’s warm glow. The glass façade is preserved to maximize natural light, while soft furnishings, neutral hues, and layered textures create an environment that is both tactile and tranquil.

Mirari Design Visuals, known for blending artistic detail with purposeful design, has created a retail space that doesn’t just function—it feels. This isn’t just about selling products. It’s about curating moments. About building a space that lets light, texture, and layout tell a story.
